Fees

Each visit to the Center generates various fees as described below and a separate bill will be generated from each entity:

ASCW Facility Fee

The ASCW Facility Fee is charged for the use of the Surgery Center and includes the costs of ASCW nursing and administrative staff, medical equipment and supplies and the costs of operating the facility.  These fees are based on the types of services provided.

If we are participating providers under your health plan, you will be asked to pay your patient obligation portion of the bill prior to your surgery.

Surgeon’s Professional Fee

The Surgeon’s Professional Fee covers his/her professional services rendered.

If you have questions about the professional fee of your surgeon, please contact his/her office.

Anesthesiologist’s Professional Fee

The Anesthesiologist’s Professional Fee covers his/her professional services rendered.

The ASCW and the anesthesiologists of Bedford Anesthesia participate in the same health plans for your convenience.

If you have questions about the professional fee of your anesthesiologist, please contact the Bedford Anesthesia Billing Office at 914-242-2650.

Pathology Services Fee

The Pathology Services Fee covers the professional services rendered by a pathologist and/or laboratory.

Many surgical cases require a specimen to be examined by a pathologist or tested in a laboratory.  If you had a specimen sent to a pathology lab, you may receive a bill for those services.

If you have questions about the professional fee of the pathologist or the fee from the laboratory, please contact them directly.
